A brief overview of the Four Planes of Development will be presented including the use of Montessori quotations and relevant handouts. The presentation will include a partial-interactive workshop model, with an audio-visual component and examples from each of the Planes of Development as they apply and impact Montessori classrooms 0 -6, 6-12, 12-18 and Montessori Erdkinder Graduates as well as School/Administrative policies therein. Threads of Practical Life and Spiritual Development will be woven throughout the presentation that will focus on the physical, personal, social and academic development of THE CHILD.

Carmen LaFranzo: Principal and the ‘cosmic view’ directress of Carmel Montessori Academy. Carmen serves as both an AMS accreditation team member and a Montessori consultant. She has been a teacher for 52 years, and a directress at CMA for thirty-eight of those years.
